Unleash Your Brain Power: 3 Principles for Optimal Cognitive Health & Healing Brain Fog

Updated: Aug 31, 2023

Are you tired of feeling like something is missing in your brain's performance, despite trying various methods like fasting, supplements, and nootropics? If you're seeking a solution to brain fog, diminished memory, attention, and creativity, this blog post is for you. Use these three simple principles to transform your brain into a high-functioning powerhouse, enhancing any natural healing program or brain-boosting supplement you may be considering.

Principle 1: Sleep Well for a Detoxified Brain

Did you know that impaired sleep quality can lead to brain toxicity? Achieving quality, deep sleep is crucial for its detoxification process. This is due to the glymphatic system, where the brain shrinks in size to flush out toxins and waste products during deep sleep. Anything that interrupts this process, such as fluoride, EMFs, & blue light, can lead to progressively worse build of toxins in the brain.

The key lies in increasing Melatonin, which is the main molecule triggering this process. Simple tips like reducing blue light exposure, shutting off Wi-Fi at night, and even supplementing oral melatonin can support this nightly brain-detoxification process.

Left: Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) flowing through the brain during deep sleep

Right: Diminished CSF flow while awake.

Principle 2: Calmness is Key for Brain Health

Contrary to popular belief, enhanced brain function does not come from overstimulating the brain. Instead, it's about finding calm and entering deeper mental states. This promotes Alpha brain waves, associated with relaxation, meditation, creativity, and mental power. Beta brain waves (related to stress and anxiety) can lead to burnout, and yet that is what everyone chases with stimulants like coffee, nootropics. and even new experiences, projects, and relationships. Alpha brain waves can be more easily accessed through practices like mediation, chanting, and breathwork, allowing your brain to regather energy, heal itself, and find inspiration.

Principle 3: Nurture a Healthy Gut for a Healthy Brain

Did you know that the health of your gut directly impacts the health of your brain? It has been shown in numerous studies that gut Inflammation is associated brain inflammation. It is also crucial to have a well-functioning gut to properly engage in all sorts of detoxification, including brain detoxification. Here's a couple simple pointers for healing the gut:

  • Simple dietary changes, such as avoiding seed oils, wheat, and processed foods, while focusing on nutrient-rich foods can be immensely helpful (for more on diet, be sure to download my free Mineral-Balancing Guide.)

  • Binders, like activated charcoal, bentonite clay, and zeolite, can help remove toxins from the gut. Fulvic/humic acids are particularly good, as they remove glyphosate, which is one of the most devasting toxins for our gut microbiomes.

  • Colon cleansing techniques such as hydrotherapy, coffee enemas, and even salt-flushes can help eliminate decades old fecal matter impacted on the insides of our intestines (this is sometimes referred to as mucoid plaque, a term coined by Dr. Richard Anderson.) This can lead to profound healing, quickly.

By implementing these three principles, you can kick-start the healing process for your brain and tap into new levels of mental power. They can help you avoid the common mistake of relying solely on complex natural healing programs or expensive supplements.

Prioritize quality sleep, maintain calmness, and nurture a healthy gut for optimal brain function. For a more in-depth understanding of these principles and additional foundations for brain health, download the free guide available on my website.
